Ridley Astr RS vs. Ridley Kanzo Fast
Tire clearance
The ASTR RS accommodates wider tires (up to 52mm on a 1x setup and 47mm on a 2x setup) compared to the Kanzo Fast's 42mm. As gravel racing becomes more demanding, this extra tire clearance can make a difference on difficult trails.
Geometry differences
The ASTR RS has a deeper bottom bracket, a longer top tube and therefore a longer wheelbase. This combination provides more control on uneven terrain. The steeper 74° seat tube of the ASTR RS improves power transfer when climbing. The chainstay length of the ASTR RS is the same as that of the Kanzo Fast, so both bikes accelerate straight away.
The longer control tube of the Kanzo Fast gives you a comfortable sitting position.
Aerodynamics
Thanks to extensive optimization of the tube shapes and diffuser fork, the aerodynamic efficiency of the ASTR RS is comparable to that of the Kanzo Fast at gravel racing speeds (measured at 36 km/h).
Weight
The ASTR RS is about half a kilo lighter than the Kanzo Fast with comparable equipment.
Summary: The ASTR RS is our state-of-the-art gravel bike that sets a new standard for demanding racing. At the same time, the Kanzo Fast shines on ultra-fast, flatter routes where speed is crucial.

Since the late 1990s S-TEC sports is specialized in building high-quality mountain and road bikes as well as selling high-end components. It is something personal and thus represents the personality of each customer. Being different, living your life – facts that do not have to be extraordinary expensive.
